The Hardest Thing Made Simple

A couple of days ago, my dad went back home.  He was with me here in Armenia, but we had planned it for him to go back homeearlier than me.  I don’t know what I was thinking.  After being at Armenia for a little while, I didn’t want my dad to go back.  I wanted him to stay with me the whole time, but work didn’t permit him to do so.  The closer it got to the day for him to leave, the more anxious I got.  I seriously thought that this would be the hardest thing for me.  Where would I stay?  Would I be comfortable without my dad around?  Who will tell people the things that I cant say about myself?  This is when I truly learned the number one quality of Armenians.  I suppose I always knew this to be true, but I now officially label this the one thing Armenians are best at.  Ladies and gentlemen.. Early Armenia

Hey hey.. so I have been in Armenia for a couple weeks now and I have to say, I am having the time of my life.  There are some things that are not going exactly as I would have planned, but other things that are going way better than expected.  Let’s start with the bad things and move on to the good, so we can end on a good note..

Armenia – Before Leaving

Hey peeps.  For those of you who don’t know, I am going to Armenia tomorrow.  I wanted to write this particular blog to basically let you guys know what’s going on in my head.  Like why I am going, what I plan to do there, and how I am particularly feeling.

There’s A Psalm For That

I don’t know about you, but there have been many times in my life when I have wanted to read a passage from the Bible that fit the situation that I was in.   There have been times that I have wanted help from trouble or distress, but I did not know where to turn.  There have been times that I wanted to praise God or thank Him, and again, I had no idea where to turn.  On those kinds of days, I only wanted to read something in which I felt the author could relate to what I was feeling.

Far From God

Lord I desire to spend time with you.

To refresh my spirit and make me anew.

I know a quiet place where I can go.

To spend time with you so that I may grow.

Loving God With Your Mind

I am reading a book right now titled “Love Your God with All Your Mind: The Role of Reason in the Life of the Soul” by J. P. Moreland.. I highly recommend it to all Christians who are serious about God.  So this concept of loving God with my mind was already in my head.  But then I heard this quote, and it inspired me to write a poem.  So I decided to share the quote and my poem with the world.
